Abstract:
A mathematical model of the cardiovascular system consisting of 55 large arteries is considered. For numerical simulation of the blood flow TVD-schemes of second order accuracy both in time and space are used. Solution of hemodynamics problem is obtained for undisturbed conditions as well as for regimes of pressured blood vessels. The detailed time and space flow structure is studied. On the basis of numerical results some effects observed in the process of blood pressure measurement are analyzed.
