Abstract:
Magnetostatic problem arises when searching the magnetic field distribution, generated by magnet systems encountered in many physical devices such as accelerators. The domain, in which a boundary value problem is solved, has often a piecewise-smooth boundary. In such cases, numerical calculations of the problem require the consideration of the solution behaviour in the corner domain. An upper estimate is given of maximum possible growth of the magnetic field in the corner domain. In terms of this estimate a method is proposed of condensing the differential grid near the corner domain. An example is given of the modeling problem in the corner domain.
