Numerical simulation of aerodynamic and acoustic characteristics of rotor in ring

Abstract: The work is devoted to the numerical simulation of rotor in ring using non-inertial reference frame based on the Euler equations. The configuration represents a model of the tail shrouded rotor of helicopter. The predictions are carried out with the help of higher-accuracy vertexcentered EBR scheme on unstructured tetrahedral meshes. The numerical results on aerodynamic forces, and intensity and directivity of acoustic radiation are given and analyzed.
