Abstract: Statistical properties of ellipsoidal bodies random packing formed in cylindrical vessels under gravity force influence numerically simulated by means of solid-body-mechanics equations. Body-to-body interaction is modeled by elastic forces as well as body-to-wall ones. Statistically-resolvable anisotropy of ellipsoidal bodies' orientation is founded. Local narrowing of particlesize spectrum can appear depending on way of packing formation. Numerical method can be generalized easily by adding surface friction, any volume force fields and any wall shapes.

Keywords: bodies packing, size spectrum, anisotropy of orientation.
