Abstract:
The characteristics method, applied to the problems of calculation of near wall layers of rarefied plasma, have been considered. A new algorithm of the characteristics method, tested in computational experiments, has been proposed. It is shown that the machine time calculation to establish steady solutions of the problem is reduced in several times, and sometimes an order of magnitude or more compared with the classical method of characteristics. The features of the characteristics method, applied to the problems of calculation of near wall layers of rarefied plasma, have been considered.
