Abstract: A novel numerical model of multicomponent flows is presented taking into account the heat transfer of the fluid and solid. The fluid model is based on an extended system of the compressible Navier–Stokes equations with the multicomponent diffusion. The algorithm simulates the direct time integration of the governing equations with splitting into con vective and diffusion stages. The method implements direct coupling heat transfer due to the time integration of the heat equation in fluid and in solid with an automatic approximation of the interface temperature and heat flux continuity condition. Comparison of the numerical results with analytical solutions of the model problem of laminar flow past a finite thickness plate at various boundary conditions confirm an efficiency of the proposed method.
