Abstract: The peculiarities and the results of combined scheme application for simulation of flows with fluid and nonfluid regions are considered on the example of mathematical modeling of inner cometary atmosphere. The combined scheme includes the usage of Navier–Stokes equations for simulation of dense regions and direct simulation Monte-Carlo method for simulation of rarefied regions of the flow.
