Abstract:
The note contains brief biographical data about the remarkable writer, scientist, teacher, author of classic university textbooks, Elena Sergeevna Wentzel (1907-2002); some of her pedagogical views are outlined; analyzed the secret of the success of her famous textbook on probability theory.
