Elements of the history of mathematics' development as a mean of motivating students

Abstract: Modern society has a great need for graduates with a deep worldview and a solid system of knowledge, skills and abilities. For eleven years, they have been taught the basics of science, including mathematics. Students should not only master calculations and logic, but also deepen their knowledge through the history of mathematics. Nowadays, the school is responsible for the intellectual potential of society. Currently, a search is underway for new, modern forms in school education to improve the quality of mathematical education, and the inclusion of elements from the history of mathematics in the content of mathematics education contributes to the motivation and creative activity of students.
