Factor structures of transformations

Abstract: The existence of nontrivial linear structures is a weakness of cryptographic transformations. We consider factor structures as a generalization of linear structures and describe transformations preserving such factor structures. On the base of the wreath product of transformation semigroups we establish a relationship between the differential attack and the homomorphism attack.
