Abstract: We continue the train of thought initiated in [A. S. Cherny and V. P. Maslov, Theory Probab. Appl. 48 (3), 447–464 (2004)], [V. P. Maslov, Math. Notes 93 (3–4), 451–459 (2013)], and [V. P. Maslov, Math. Notes 93 (5–6), 881–889 (2013)] and suggest to optimize encoding of data packets in asynchronous networks with the use of the entropy corresponding to the Bose–Einstein distribution.

Keywords: information, Kullback–Leibler divergence, Shannon entropy, source coding, data compression, Bose–Einstein distribution.
