A New Proof of the Protasov–Voynov Theorem on Semigroups of Nonnegative Matrices

Abstract: A new combinatorial proof of the Protasov–Voynov theorem on the structure of irreducible semigroups of nonnegative matrices is proposed. The original proof was obtained by geometric methods.
