Finite groups with a seminormal Hall subgroup

Tests for $\pi$-solvability of a finite group with seminormal Hall $\pi$-subgroup are established and the nilpotency of the third commutator subgroup of any group with seminormal noncyclic Sylow subgroups is proved.
