Abstract: The article is devoted to the covalent modification of the surface of titanium dioxide nanoparticles with polymethacrylic acid using the method of controlled atom transfer radical polymerization. For the first time, core-shell titanium dioxide nanoparticles with water-soluble shell of poly(methacrylic acid) were obtained.

Keywords: modification of nanoparticles, titanium dioxide, controlled radical polymerization, polymethacrylic acid, core-shell nanoparticles.
