Abstract: Effect of a nanocrystalline cerium dioxide (nanoceria) on the reproductive system of elderly male rats has been studied. It was shown that nanoceria administration (1 mg/kg for 10 days) considerably increases testosterone level, quantity of spermatozoa and quantity of rat cubs in the litter born by pubertal intact females. Physical and sexual development of rat cubs in the test group did not differ from the control.

Keywords: nanocrystalline cerium dioxide, male rats, testosterone, spermatozoa.
