Propagation of femtosecond pulses in carbon nanotubes

Abstract: The generation of higher harmonics of carbon nanotubes interacting with femtosecond laser pulses was investigated. The analysis was conducted on the basis of quantum kinetic equation for the $\pi$-electrons involved in the inside of the band and inter-band transitions. The dynamics of the electromagnetic pulse, depending on the parameters of the problem, were studied.
