Several peculiarities of plastic pipes (made from polyethylene, fiberglass, etc.) widely used in today’s engineering practice are presented that necessarily must be taken into account during their design, construction and operation. Meanwhile, unpredictable emergency situations may occur during the operation process if such procedures are neglected.
