Results of selection of landfill territories and management of land area in the Gegharkunik region of the Republic of Armenia

The results of modeled surface mapping and studying for garbage disposal in 9 settlements adjacent to the north-west coast of Lake Sevan in Gegharkunik region are presented. The research shows that, depending on the economic and environmental requirements, it is essential to reduce the risk of landfill areas by focusing and managing landfill areas and thereby increasing their efficiency.
