Abstract: The quantity of pollutants in the atmosphere of the Armenian cities is considered based on data presented on the Ministry of Nature Protection and ArmEcoMonitoring Center websites for the years of 2013 to 2015 to estimate the level of pollution in air. It is found out that the comprehensive data on the amount of pollutants in the atmosphere are either missing or incomplete, which does not enable ample and independent evaluation and analysis of the atmosphere quality. This situation contradicts to the Article 37 of the RA Law on "Protection of Atmosphere Air" adopted in 1994 and the Aarhus Convention to which Armenia joined in 1998. Several approaches are proposed aimed at tackling the current inconsistent situation and reconstructing the work of essential rings of both environmental policy and strategy in the Republic of Armenia.
