Abstract:
Contamination of the surface waters of Lake Sevan basin has a great impact in disruption of the ecological state of the Lake. Pollution of the basin soil with pesticides and fertilizers, as well as industrial and domestic sewage lead to the contamination of the rivers of the lake’s basin. Unit combinatorial indices in five observation points of the Lake during the years and average annual pollution for 2010-2016 are estimated hereby. The need for wastewater treatment via modern technologies is emphasized for the sake of ecological balance restoration of Lake Sevan.
