Influence of groundwater level reduction in Ararat valley on irrigation norms and regimes of agricultural crops

The influence reducing of groundwater level of Ararat plain artesian basin on the irrigation norms and regimes of agricultural crops is studied. It was revealed that in 19 communities of Masis region of Ararat Marz and Echmiadzin region of Armavir Marz the level of groundwater decreased from 2 m and is currently at a depth of 3 meters or more from the surface of the ground. because of which the actual norms of irrigation increased by an average of 27.3% and water consumption in these areas increased by 11,1 million m$^3$/year.
It is recommended to replace the 4th regime of crop irrigation in the mentioned communities in the 1st mode.
