The protection of high-pressure pipelines of pumping stations from the hydraulic shock

Abstract: The problem of choosing an effective method for the protection of high-pressure pipelines of pumping stations from the hydraulic shock during the power outage is discussed hereby. By the studies of known protection means’ operation it was determined that the most effective and cheapest method is the installation of check valves by the entire length of pressure pipeline. The valve is placed in a way to exclude the interruption of the liquid flow. The operation regulations of the pump unit are developed which are integrated in two pump stations.
