The definition of the parameters of fluid motion in force pipeline by starting pump on open gate valve

Abstract: The motion of fluid in force pipeline is discussed while starting pump on open gate valve. Numeral values of hydraulic resistance coefficients for the hydraulic engineering valve placed inside the pipeline are obtained by the experimental means. Analytical formulae are developed with the help of which fluid motion speed, acceleration duration and velocity values are determined for the regular regime of liquid motion. Comparisons are drawn between the findings of obtained calculations and experimental results.
