Abstract: The USSR’s state-centered mass organization of summer recreations for youth and young generations are presented in this paper. The architectural developments of pioneer and youth camps, designed and partially implemented in the resorts of the Armenian SSR in 1960-1980 are analyzed in a given article. Appropriate assessments and suggestions on possible ways of their restructuring under current conditions are provided
