Principles of design of artificial lighting in public interiors

Abstract: The integrated design principle of artificial lighting, according to which light is considered as an element of human vital activity has been reviewed. List of factors presented, affecting the organization of the light environment, the principles of designing the light environment are proposed, the recommendations for choosing light sources, dynamic lighting, using natural light for public buildings are developed. A list of project activities with the aim of creating a favorable lighting environment have been proposed. The principles of light environment on the examples of large shopping centers and school classrooms have been analyzed. The novelty lies in the proposal and typological analysis of the factors that organize the light environment, as well as in the implementation of the definition of the main lighting problem, based on the general requirements for the light environment, the factors that organize the light environment. A list of design activities to create a favorable light environment is proposed. To analyze the characteristics of the lighting environment, the lighting conditions of two interiors of different functional significance were considered: a classroom and a hall of a large shopping center.
