Abstract:
Issues on increasing weariness resistance of the axes, shafts, and the "shaft-hub" combination in the force diagrams of machines and mechanisms subjected to surface plastic deformation (SPD) of their working surfaces and transfer sections are considered hereby. A case is studied when the stress concentration degree is taken as a prevailing factor. The regression relations between the parameters of the acting factors and the wearing resistance coefficients are revealed. Taking into account their interrelation, a nomogram is plotted to determine the optimal values of the remaining parameters by the graphical calculation method at the presence of the proposed parameter (coefficient) of the prevailing factor. A detailed evaluation of wearing resistance of the structure’s considered elements at the different levels of stress concentration is introduced ($K_{\sigma} = 1.00\cdots 3.50$).
