Modern trends of urban spaces' transformation

The actual problem of downtown reconstruction of large cities is studied; elaborations of leading experts of the field are explained. Methods and suggestions for the transformation of the historical center of the city are given by the device of closed and opened pedestrian street doubles in the structure of urbanized blocks. The possibilities of their utilization are designated during the reconstruction of separate parts of Yerevan city’s central districts.
