Mechanical purification of meat and dairy enterprizes’ wastewater

Meat and dairy industry wastewater sent to the urban sewage treatment facilities shall be cleaned of suspended substances and major litter in advance. For this purpose, the following facilities for mechanical cleaning are provided in the pre-treatment station: gratings, sand traps and clarifiers. For the settling of suspended particles it is proposed to use clarifier-digesters in which natural aeration and flocculation of wastewater contamination occurs, contributing to increased efficiency of particle sedimentation.
