Abstract:
This speed of automobiles in traffic and the use of seat belts by drivers and passengers in and out of urban areas in the Republic of Armenia are studied. The data were collected and analyzed using current Road Safety Indicators detailed in the $SAFETY~NET$ and $DACOTA$ projects. The results were standardized with current EU speed indicators to allow greater comparison between the Republic of Armenia and EU averages. It is evident that the road accidents, injuries, and fatalities will significantly decrease in the Republic of Armenia with a nationwide implementation of Road Safety Indicators in road safety management that also includes proper staff training and data management.
