Overseas experience in spatial planning

The overseas experience in the sphere of spatial planning and the regulatory mechanisms of territorial development issues are presented. Comparative analysis has been conducted for the types of documents used abroad in different levels of spatial planning, as well as their similarities and differences compared with the spatial planning system of documents currently used in the Republic of Armenia. As a result of the analysis recommendations on the improvement of the efficiency of the spatial planning (urban planning) document system of the Republic of Armenia are offered.
