Water quality assessment of lake Sevan waters based on water quality of its catchment basin and Hrazdan river

Polluted surface waters of Lake Sevan basin have a great impact on the ecological balance distortion of the Lake. The evaluation of both specific combinatorial indices of water pollution during 2008-2012 and average annual contamiantion of Dzknaget, Masrik, Martuni, Gavaraget rivers flowing into the lake and Hrazdan river are carried out hereby. The relevance of modern technologies’ application in wastewater treatment is emphasized for the restoration of the Lake’s ecological balance.
