Abstract:
The results of a laboratory investigation dedicated to the discharging process of water from the horizontal plastic pipes of small diameter are presented. The character of liquid flow from the extended cross section at the pipe’s edge is revealed. Empiric formulae are proposed for determining the discharge timeframe of the mentioned pipes. The comparison of calculated results obtained by the given formulae and experimental data is introduced indicating their proper match.
