Abstract: The luminescent and magneto-optical properties of nanocomposites consisting of a superparamagnetic Fe$_{3}$O$_{4}$ core coated with a luminescent semiconductor CdSe layer, which, in turn, is surrounded by a passivating ZnS shell, are considered.
