Abstract:
The paper is devoted to the effect of enhancement of the Raman intensity of gaseous components of media due to the internal field factor created by the molecular environment. The intensity of the vibrational Raman band of nitrogen in mixtures with argon and methane was studied at pressures up to 50 atm. We observed an increase in Raman signal intensity of fixed nitrogen concentration up to 4% in the indicated mixtures. A model for evaluating this effect is presented and verified. The data obtained will be useful for improving the accuracy of Raman gas analysis.
