Heating of a metal layer by a scanning laser beam

Abstract: The analysis and numerical simulation of the heating mode of a metal plate scanning beam of laser radiation was carried out. In the transverse-one-dimensional approximation, the estimates are obtained of the main dependences of the characteristics of the steady temperature profile on the parameters of the problem.
