Abstract:
The paper studies temperature dependence of the spectroscopic properties of chromium ions in Zn$_{1-x}$Mn$_x$Se solid solution crystals with varying manganese ion concentrations ($x$ = 0; 0.05; 0.3) in the temperature range of 77–380 K. For the studied solid solution crystals, shifts in the absorption and luminescence spectra maxima towards shorter wavelengths are observed to be almost linear, with a shift of $\approx$0.3 nm/K and a broadening of the absorption and luminescence lines by $\approx$0.2 nm/K. The lifetime of chromium ions in the solid solution with $x$ = 0.05 remains practically independent of temperature up to room temperature, while in the solid solution with $x$ = 0.3, it remains independent up to a temperature of 250 K.
