Abstract:
It is shown that oxyfluorine glass with luminescent silver molecular clusters is promising as luminescent Sun concentrator (LSC) for the transformation of Sun UV radiation to the visible radiation, or as the first cascade of multilayered LSC. The experimental data on the absorption and luminescence of the mentioned glass were used for computer simulation. Spectral optical efficiency LSC reaches 17.7 % for spectral region 310–475 nm, integral efficiency – 12 %. The reflector on the side faces increases the efficiency of LSC. The decrease of LSC thickness and the increase of its surface square result in the increase of the degree of photons concentration.
