Abstract:
The influence of uncertainty in intensity of radiation of individual laser pulses on probabilities of multiphoton ionization/photodetachment is analyzed quantitatively. Both multiphoton (using an example of an F$^-$ anion) and tunnel regimes are studied. It is demonstrated that intensity fluctuations substantially change probabilities of the discussed processes. As to the tunnel regime, the role of fluctuations is negligibly small not only in the region of saturation but also far from it in this case.
