On the integral characteristics of the scattering function

Abstract: The questions regarding the measurements of the integral characteristics of the scattering function for the media with the strong forward scattering are considered. It is shown that in the common case the contribution of the small angles in the average scattering cosine is underestimated, whereas this contribution is important for the dominant forward scattering. The method that allows to obtain the necessary corrections for such case is proposed.
