Abstract:
A discrete mathematical model of stochastic type is proposed. The model is intended for computer simulating of coating formation on metallic target under the influence of a high speed powder jet. The model belongs to the class of asynchronous probabilistic cellular automata. The model parameters are determined both from the actual test and from the known facts of similar processes. Program implementation and computer simulation of carbide formation on tungsten target being processed by carbon powder jet showed that the model is a useful instrument in the investigations aimed at creation methods for cumulative synthesis of new materials and structures.
