Estimates for the number of element appearances in segments of linear recurrent sequences

Abstract: Trigonometric sums of linear recurrent sequences are considered. They are studied by using the Sidelnikov's method. Based on these results, estimates for the number of element appearance are obtained. In some occurrences, these estimates specify earlier known results.
