On bent functions constructed using subspaces of dimension $2$

We introduce a construction of a class of bent functions $\mathcal{E}_{2n}$ derived from the Maiorana — McFarland class of bent functions $\mathcal{M}_{2n}$. The functions of $\mathcal{E}_{2n}$ do not belong to $\mathcal{M}_{2n}$. An approach to constructing the functions of $\mathcal{E}_{2n}$ is given. The cardinality of $\mathcal{E}_{2n}$ and its asymptotics are also calculated.
