Abstract:
Complexes of self-organized isolated semiconductor crystalline $nc$-Si/SiO$_2$ quantum dots functionalized with short oligonucleotides are unique objects for revealing the manifestation of new quantum-size effects. It is shown that the observation of narrow spectral lines in micro-Raman scattering spectra of high spectral resolution makes it possible to determine the characteristic time scale of vibrational excitations of nucleotide molecules. The possibility of quantitative investigation into the structural-dynamic properties of fast vibrational processes in biomacromolecules is established.
