Abstract:
The paper considers the features of synthesis (directly during the sintering process) of higher manganese silicide from nanosized powders in an spark plasma sintering. Thermoelectric characteristics of the obtained material are studied. It is established that higher manganese silicide has a high value of thermoelectric efficiency $ZT$ = 0.66 at $T$ = 635 C. It is also shown that the value of thermoelectric efficiency is affected by high-temperature holding.
