Spontaneous emission in leaky modes of nanowires

Abstract: Analytical expressions for spontaneous emission pro-bability in the vicinity of nanowire for the emitter oriented in axial, radial and azimuthal direction in respect to the nanowire axis, has been obtained. Directionality of emission and probability of emission have been calculated for various positions of emitter. Enhancement of the spontaneous emission probability by one order of magnitude, and formation of the sharp directionality diagram has been demonstrated.
