Abstract:
The effect of a permanent magnetic field on the intercalation process and magnetic properties of GaSe single crystals and their Co$_{0.15}$GaSe intercalants are investigated. It is shown that cobalt intercalation in gallium monoselenide exerts no effect on the parameters of the GaSe crystal lattice. In Co$_{0.15}$GaSe intercalants obtained by intercalation in a magnetic field, the manifestation of ferromagnetism is revealed; the dependence of the magnetic moment on the magnetic-field strength has the form of a hysteresis loop inherent in magnetically hard ferromagnetic materials.
