Effect of a nonstationary electric field with different front profiles on carbon nanotubes

Abstract: Generation of millimeter radiation in a medium based on nanotubes at different profiles of the nonstationary electric field’s front is theoretically studied and mathematically simulated. The radiation gain is based on damped periodic oscillations of the surface current in nanotubes due to kinetic inductance and quantum capacitance in a nonstationary electric field.
