Alternation of the charge drift direction in a multicavity magnetron

Abstract: Electron trajectories in a multicavity magnetron with inhomogeneous magnetic field exponentially increasing from cathode to anode are considered. It is shown that, in an inhomogeneous magnetic field of this type, the direction of charge drift can switch to opposite, which leads to breakage of the synchronism conditions.
