Abstract: The results of high-speed registration of the formation of the keyhole in titanium under the point effect of laser radiation are presented. It was found that the evolution of the keyhole ends with a collapse even before the cessation of the action (switching off) of the continuous laser radiation.

Keywords: deep penetration, keyhole, collapse, laser radiation.
