Abstract:
The viscosity of rarefied gas in nanochannels under normal conditions is studied. The viscosity coefficient is calculated by means of the Green–Kubo formula using the stochastic molecular method. The interaction of gas molecules with the wall is described by mirror, diffuse or mirror-diffuse laws. The gas temperature and channel height vary. It has been shown that the viscosity in the nanochannel is substantially non-isotropic. Along the channel, the viscosity almost always coincides with its corresponding value in volume. By varying the accommodation coefficient, the total viscosity of the gas can be either reduced or increased by several times.
